January 6, 2009, I took my Christmas cash to FYE and purchased the Twin Peaks Definitive Gold Box Set. Needless to say, this was the best purchase I've made all year. This is a truly glorious thing because ever since, I've been able to watch this series the way it was meant to be watched, from start to finish and at my own leisure. I know many of you out there have hard-on's for shows like Lost or Desperate Housenags, but baby, you ain't seen nothing yet (unless you watched this series in the early 90's when it was originally released). Comparing this show to anything even similar to those would be like comparing a Monet to a steaming pile of horse dung.
Now I'm a huge David Lynch fan, so many of you may think me bias but... all Lynch loving aside, this show is a stunner. From the amazing Washington scenery to the extremely attractive (mmm, Audrey Horne.) cast and exceptional writer(s) (frost), you will be sucked in for good after the pilot episode.
I would give this box set three thumbs up and definitely recommend buying it ( God, I feel like I'm on reading rainbow) on your next trip to Amazon.com. Hell, I might even link ur ass!
Oh yeah, this set come with a bonus disc that has the usual deleted scenes but also has Kyle MacLachlan's SNL appearance. The only thing this set doesn't come with is a box of donuts and a bag of David Lynch Signature Roast(which I also recommend), but you can get those yourself, you lazy bastards.
